CycleHop Signs Lease in Santa Monica and Appoints Regional Manager for Southern California

SANTA MONICA, CA: CycleHop, a leading bike-share operator, recently signed a long-term lease for property located at 1631 Colorado Ave in Santa Monica which will be the new home for local bike-share operations.

In addition, CycleHop welcomes Ron Durgin as the Regional Bike Share Manager for Southern California.  Ron brings with him a broad range of expertise and has been a leader in active transportation for more than a decade. He most recently served as the General Manager of the highly-successful Santa Monica Bike Center starting in 2011 and, in 2009, he co-founded the public charity Sustainable Streets.

Santa Monica will soon join other major cities around the globe that offer public bicycles for residents and visitors to use as transit and for recreation. The program is scheduled to launch in 2015 with 500 bikes located at hub locations throughout the city.
